Fat Loss Dieting - Ways To Achieve Your Weight Loss Goals
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010If you’ve tried everything to lose that extra weight and none of these fat loss diet plans work for you, then it’s time to just get down to the basics. Everything you’ll find here is common sense, but, sadly, most of the people building these diet plans have completely forgotten what the phrase “eat right and exercise” really means; so there’s a LOT of misinformation out there regarding how to lose belly fat. Just follow these steps, and you should lose that extra weight in no time.
More Water
Go into your fridge, and if you have more soda in there than a single twelve ounce can, you drink too much soda. Try this: Next time you’re at a restaurant, order water, not soda, juice, coffee, or tea. In the morning, skip the sugar laden coffee and drink a glass of water and a vitamin B tablet. When you do drink tea, skip the sugar. It’s not so much that water is what you need, though you do need to stay hydrated, rather, you need water in place of a whole bunch of other things. If you want to curb your appetite, then what you want to do is drink more water, as most people mistake signs of thirst for signs of hunger. Drink more water and listen to nobody who tells you otherwise.
Avoid Fats and Extra Protein
Any diet plan that tells you that you can just overdose on this or that nutrient, be it protein, fiber or anything else, forget it. You need to eat well rounded meals or you may as well just go on a starvation diet. The fact is that the human body was not meant to live on just meat or just vegetables or just ANYTHING. Follow the food pyramid and organize your meal plan so that you’re getting all of your food groups. If you are losing weight after a one-thing diet, you’re not losing fat. You’re losing bone density, muscle mass, organ tissue and all sorts of other tissues that you need, but not fat.
Get Your Exercise
If you’re not getting your exercise, then you’re not losing fat. That’s simple fact. Fat is energy, that’s all it is. It’s how your body stores energy. So if you want to get rid of that fat, then start expending that energy. Again, if you’re losing weight without exercise, it means that you’re losing bone, muscle and organ weight, but most certainly NOT fat. Remember that fat weighs less than anything else in your body. The only way to burn fat is to actually BURN fat, not to starve it off, not to overdose on protein, but to walk more, do sit ups and aerobics and actually put the work in to get rid of it.
None of this information is what people WANT to hear when they’re interested in fat burning, but the fact is, you can’t build an industry around telling people what they NEED to hear but don’t want to. If someone released a diet book that was just one page long reading “eat right, exercise and drink more water”, they wouldn’t make very many sales; and once the secret of how to lose belly fat is out, that fad and miracle diets DO NOT work, then how are they going to get people to keep paying for the new easy way out fitness plan? Getting in shape means hard work, discipline, healthy diet and exercise, and that’s the bottom line.
